SPRINGFIELD - William Bill G. Crenshaw Sr., age 66, of Springfield died Monday, July 12, 2010, at his home.

He was born July 5, 1944, in Springfield, to Arthur B. and Margaret L. Bundy Crenshaw Jr.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Springfield and had previously worked as a tree trimmer.

He is survived by his companion, Karin P. O'Brien; son, William B.J. G. Crenshaw Jr. of Petersburg; 3 sisters, JoAnn Crenshaw of Springfield, Norma Raymond and Kay Wayson both of Washington; brother, Robert L. Crenshaw Sr. of Illiopolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James.

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with Pastor Milton Bost officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given towards a monument.
